An Anniversary Has Happened

One year ago - On May, 2, 2014 - I started this blog about Daniel Robert Janney and how he adversely affected my life not long after I first met him. I helped the authorities in Cecil County of Maryland bring him to justice, which is a major plus for everybody, but I am still trying to pick up the pieces of my life here.

(I will put more here later. I will be revising this post to add more details in.)

Justice Has Been Served

Sometime earlier this month, which I believe was on the morning of 7 November, 2014, Daniel Robert Janney accepted a plea deal from the Maryland Assistant State Attorney's office. He pleaded guilty in the Cecil County Court, which is located in Elkton, Maryland, to one count of sex abuse of a minor in exchange for a ten year prison sentence.

The following is a copy of what appears on the Maryland Judiciary Case Search website in reference to the case disposition on the four-count indictment in Cecil County of Maryland against Daniel Robert Janney:

Sometime during the the following week after 7 November 2014, I was informed by the mother of the victim that this plea deal was offered to Robert Daniel Janney with the full knowledge and approval of the victim's family, in order to spare the victim the trouble and trauma of having to testify against Robert Daniel Janney at trial. I also feel that this was a decision made for the best of all concerned parties.

This also meant that my own testimony as a witness for the prosecution at the trial of Daniel Robert Janney would not be necessary, or course.

Once again, I would like to point out here that none of what happened earlier this month in the Cecil County Court, in relation to these sex crime charges against Daniel Robert Janney, would have happened at all if it had not been for a plan of my own design. This plan of mine was made with the purpose of bringing Daniel Robert Janney to justice. I set this plan of mine into motion back in early February of this year. I will be revealing what my plan consisted of in future blog posts here, so stay tuned, my dear readers.

Two Year Anniversary

Today - August 12 - marks the two-year anniversary of the night when Daniel Robert Janney allegedly committed sex crimes against a female minor - a nine-year-old girl - which he is currently in jail for, and scheduled to be put on trial next November of 2014. This was what allegedly happened on the night of August 12, 2012, at a private residence that is located in Conowingo, Maryland. I will be using the word "allegedly" very often here in this blog entry of mine, because Daniel Robert Janney has not yet been convicted of, nor has he pleaded guilty to, any of his current sex crime charges in a court of law.

Daniel Robert Janney is currently in the Cecil County Detention Center in Elkton, Maryland, which is where he is awaiting trial on these same sex crime charges. He would not very likely even be there right now, if it had not been for me and my efforts to bring him to justice, as I have already explained in previous blog entries of mine here. If you would like to see some verification of this for yourself, you can enter his first and last name - Daniel Janney - into the Maryland Statewide VINELink website. You should only find one person named Daniel Janney, age 39, in the Maryland Statewide VINELink online database.

So, to answer the question regarding how I would know about what Daniel Robert Janney allegedly perpetrated against a nine-year-old girl on August 12, 2012, it was simply because of this:

I was also at this very same private residence in Conowingo, Maryland on that very same night. I was also the person who drove Daniel Robert Janney to this very same residence, on this very same night. We were both there as invited guests of the primary inhabitant of this private residence.

What was I doing there? Here is the answer:

I was there to purchase a red 1993 Ford Ranger pick-up truck, which was in excellent overall condition, with new tires and rims, and with a relatively low mileage on its odometer (From my recollection, it was 39,000 miles or thereabouts.) at this time, from the primary inhabitant of this private residence. The business of me buying and paying for this pick-up truck took place later in the evening of that night, which was very soon after I and Daniel Robert Janney first arrived at this private residence. It was already after nightfall by this time, but if I had to guess on when this all occurred, I would say that this all occurred sometime between 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM on this same night. The rest of that evening was then spent by me, Daniel Robert Janney, and all of the other people who were present at this private residence, on what I had assumed at this time were nothing other than mere wholesome, family-oriented activities, because there were several adolescent-age children who were present in this private residence on this same date of August 12, 2012, in addition to several adults.

This was a night which I at first thought consisted only of just playing video games and watching a DVD movie on a new, large, and flat screen HD television set, which was located in the family room of this private residence, eating snack foods, drinking soda pop beverages, discussing topics like fishing, hunting, professional sports teams, and other outdoor sporting activities, and then everybody who was present on that same evening fell asleep, myself included, on the couches and easy chairs until the following morning. It was only later that I began to learn about the allegations of sex crimes which Daniel Robert Janney was said to have committed against the nine-year-old girl, a girl who was also present on this same evening, at this same private residence.

This same 1993 Ford Ranger pick-up truck was purchased by me on this night of August 12, 2012, with the understanding between myself and Daniel Robert Janney, that he would eventually repay me in full for it. This understanding and tentative written agreement between myself and Daniel Robert Janney would only have become possible after he also had had his Maryland driver license reinstated first, which I was also helping him work toward achieving.

To achieve the reinstatement of his Maryland driver license, Daniel Robert Janney had been taking numerous online education classes and exams during that same time frame in 2012, which was ultimately followed by a written exam that he took and passed. I was the person who helped Daniel Robert Janney with all of this, primarily by providing him transportation, but also by loaning him the money for the necessary fees just to take the written exam, among other necessary expenses.

After his Maryland driver license had been reinstated, then Daniel Robert Janney and I had an agreement that he would register this 1993 Ford Ranger pick-up truck with the Maryland DMV in his own name, with my name listed on the vehicle title as a title lien holder, with a written agreement signed by both of us regarding the payment of all of his outstanding personal debts owed to me.

After this 1993 Ford Ranger pick-up truck was fully registered, tagged, and insured by Daniel Robert Janney, he and I also had a mutual understanding, along with several other related conditions, that Daniel Robert Janney would then start using this same pick-up truck for the purposes of earning his fully legal and legitimate livelihood once again, which all was going to be within his long-time profession of the past twenty years or so as a contractor/builder/carpenter. 

So, what did I actually witness regarding these alleged sex crimes which were perpetrated against the nine-year-old girl, which were allegedly committed at this private residence in Conowingo, Maryland, on the night of August 12, 2012, by Daniel Robert Janney, you ask?

No, I did not witness any of these sex crimes allegedly committed by Daniel Robert Janney, against the nine-year-old girl, on this night of August 12, 2012. Nor did I have any knowledge of these sex crimes before or immediately after they were allegedly committed. I can at least reveal here in my blog that I did hear of an allegation of this nature being made against Daniel Robert Janney, from another person, which was about a week or so after this night, however. This same person is an adult with a family connection to the victim. This same person, who was also present in this same private residence, was told about the sex crime allegations against Daniel Robert Janney sometime during the day after August 12, 2012, by the victim herself - the nine-year-old girl. I only know this because this was what this same adult told me, which was approximately one week or so after August 12, 2012. These allegations were revealed to me during the later afternoon of this day.

Later, in the early evening on this same day, Daniel Robert Janney told me his own version of events regarding what happened on this night of August 12, 2012. He only told me his version of events after I confronted him over this. Although I became immediately doubtful over Daniel Robert Janney's version of events, which I also will not reveal here, there was nothing else which I could have done about this at that time, which would have had any sort of effective or positive outcome for the sake of the victim, or her family.

Just prior to my initial confrontation of Daniel Robert Janney regarding these same allegations, I had already tried to convince another adult with a connection to the victim and these allegations to contact the local police and file a complaint with them, but this same adult was also quite reluctant to do this at the time. For the sake of maintaining the privacy of this minor female victim of Daniel Robert Janney, and for the sake of the privacy for the rest of her family, I will not provide any further details here at this time.

It was not until much later - earlier this year in fact, on April 4, 2014 - that I finally learned about the rest of the whole story regarding the events of August 12, 2012, which was the date of he night in question. April 4, 2012 was when the four-count indictment related to the allegations from August 12, 2012, against Daniel Robert Janney, was unsealed by the Office of the State's Attorney for Cecil County, Maryland. In fact, it was only after I started this very blog that I was contacted by someone with an intimate knowledge of pertinent details regarding these allegations against Daniel Robert Janney. This person was the only one who was able to tell me the rest of the whole story.

So yes, there is so much more to this story, of course, but because all of this involves a pending criminal proceeding against Daniel Robert Janney, which a potential member of the jury pool at his trial could read here on this very blog of mine prior to the trial, a trial of which I also plan on availing myself to testify for the prosecution, that is, if I am requested to do so, I will not go into any further details here at this time.

The Wheels of Justice Accelerated A Bit Against Daniel Janney Last Week

Earlier this week, last Monday to be exact, I learned that Daniel Robert Janney was transported from the Southern Regional Jail in Beaver, West Virginia to the Cecil County Detention Center in Elkton, Maryland. Cecil County in Maryland is where Daniel Robert Janney was indicted in December of 2013 on four charges related to the the sexual assault of a minor.

Daniel Robert Janney was apparently extradited back to Maryland from West Virginia sooner rather than later. This happened just like I had been told that it likely would happen, due to the serious nature of the charges against Daniel Robert Janney in Cecil County of Maryland. I was told all of this earlier this month by a detective with the City of Bluefield, West Virginia Police Department.
(This is the same detective who appeared on camera in the WVNS Channel 59 news video; I uploaded this same video to my YouTube Channel last week.)

Earlier this week, I also spoke with a mutual friend of Daniel Robert Janney. This mutual friend told me that Daniel Robert Janney has been informed by somebody, presumably somebody with the authorities in either West Virginia or Maryland, that is, that he is facing up to 46 years in prison if he is convicted of all of the charges against him. I am not quite certain if this is accurate, however. I am currently trying to get some confirmation on this.

Last week, I also began a series of correspondence e-mails with the mother of the minor victim, a girl who was nine years old at the time. This would also be the same girl who Daniel Robert Janney has been indicted for committing sex crimes against. Although I have never met this woman, it turns out that I not only have met the victim previously, but I was actually in the home when and where Daniel Robert Janney allegedly committed his sex crimes against this girl!

Daniel Janney Ruined My Life

This was after I found a good way to capture flash videos from websites today. I used the Video Downloader professional extension for the Google Chrome web browser. This was how I was able to download the same WVNS Channel 59 TV news video that I had embedded in my previous blog post about the story of Daniel Robert Janney's arrest in Bluefield, West Virginia.

Hopefully, this WVNS Channel 59 TV news video about Daniel Robert Janney's arrest, which I just uploaded to my new YouTube channel, will help get some more publicity for my blog here and my gofundme.com page. My same first YouTube video upload is also now embedded on that page too. I can tell that this video on YouTube only has about four views so far, but they probably all came from me when I watched this YouTube video on different computers and web-enabled devices. I will have to check and see how many views this YouTube video gets in another day or so.

I Got My First Hate Mail Over The Weekend

This blog of mine is new, so I have been trying to find different ways to publicize it more. I put a link to this blog on the WVNS 59News page on Facebook and the Facebook page for West Virginia Mugshots, for example. I also have put a link for this blog on the Facebook plug in commenting section of the Bluefield Daily Telegraph's web page about the arrest of Daniel Robert Janney, on at least two different occasions, but somebody keeps deleting my comment there.

I also thought that it would be a good idea to get some publicity for my blog here on the southern WV rants & raves classifieds page of craigsist that serves the part of West Virginia where Daniel Robert Janney was living as an unregistered sex offender and a fugitive from justice in Maryland. So, I posted a very detailed ad there to tell the readers of who I am and what I did to get Daniel Robert Janney removed from the streets of Bluefield, West Virginia. I wrote the title of my ad on craigslist like this:

I would have liked to post the link to my craigslist ad here, but my craigslist ad was flagged about two hours after I posted it to craigslist. Everything seemed fine at first, too. I could tell that my craigslist ad was allowed by the moderator to be visible to the public. Then I saw a response to my flagged craigslist ad in my e-mail inbox from somebody. This person uses the handle of "Timex". This is that message to me, verbatim:

 YOU ARE A FUCKING RAT * A DUMBASS WHO SHOULD BE SITTING IN JAIL RIGHT BESIDE HIM !!!!! BETTER STILL YOUR RAT ASS SHOULD BE BURRIED UP TO YOUR NECK OUT IN THE WOODS SO THE ANIMALS CAN EAT YOUR SORRY ROTTEN RAT ASS !!!! THAT BEING SAID, I PERSONAL HOPE YOU LOSE EVERYTHING YOU HAVE & END UP HOMELESS LIVING IN THE WOODS, OR EVEN BETTER YOU SHOULD END UP IN JAIL WHERE SOME BIG DICKED BLACK DUDE CAN MAKE YOU HIS BITCH & FUCK YOU LIKE THE RAT BITCH THAT YOU ARE !!!!

Wow, can you feel the hatred there? I have no idea who this "Timex" person is, or where he or she even got the idea to send me a message such as this.

I then sent the following reply back to this "Timex" person:

You really have no idea what you are talking about now, do you?

You proved this to me sending me the totally ignorant message that I got from you just now. That, and your typing in all capital letters, proved to me how ignorant you are.

 Are you okay with pedophiles and child molesters being able to go live wherever they please, without anybody else in town knowing about who they are? That was the deal with Daniel Robert Janney while he was living on the lam in Bluefield, WV.

I ask you this question because it seems like you don't have a problem with unregistered sex offenders just living wherever they please. There are sex offender laws for a reason, actually. Normal people support these laws, and guys like me for what I did.

Save you anger for guys who pose a true threat to the community - guys like Daniel Robert Janney - A guy who I only tried to help turn his life around, and get back on his feet, but in the end, he betrayed me, he betrayed himself, and he betrayed a lot of other people too, including members of his own family.

If you are still angry at me now, maybe it is just because you are some type of sex offender yourself, and what I did struck too close to home for you.

I have a suspicion that this "Timex" person was also the person who flagged my craigslist ad, the one which generated such a hateful response to it, that is. Since this time, I have not tried reposting the same craigslist ad that was flagged yet, but I do plan on posting this blog entry of mine there. I would like other people to see just how hateful this "Timex" person was towards me, a guy who helped the police in Bluefield, West Virginia, remove an unregistered sex offender from their community. As I said in my reply above - if this is what makes me a "rat" to you, then maybe this is only because you are an unregistered sex offender yourself, or you sympathize with unregistered sex offenders. It would have to be one or the other as far as I am concerned.

Daniel Janney's Arrest in Bluefield Became a Story on the TV News in West Virginia

UPDATE: The embedded WVNS Channel 59 news video below on this blog entry of mine will no longer play as it used to play. This is only because the source of the news video - WVNS - has apparently removed it from their own website server, and most TV news websites routinely do this with most of their news videos after enough time has passed. So, it apparently did not take very long for a TV news station, WVNS Channel 59 in Ghent, West Virginia, to send Jessica Schueler, who is one of their field reporters, down to Bluefield, West Virginia today, to produce a story about Daniel Robert Janney's arrest in Bluefield, West Virgina late last March. The Bluefield Daily Telegraph published their own story about the arrest of Daniel Robert Janney early yesterday morning, and it was reported on the Channel 59 news by early yesterday evening. BLUEFIELD, WV - A Maryland man was arrested in late March for public intoxication at Mountaineer Lanes in Bluefield, WV. According to the Bluefield City Police Department, after a routine check they discovered that the man, Daniel Janney, was wanted in Hartford County, Maryland on theft and destruction of property charges. 

He had also failed to register as a sex offender in West Virginia.

After the arrest, police received a tip that Janney was also wanted in Cecil County, Maryland for sexual assault charges. Detective Adams with Bluefield Police confirmed that Janney is wanted on four counts of sexual assault of a minor.

Janney is being held at Southern Regional Jail on a $5,000 bond, and is being detained for the sexual assault charges out of Maryland.

At about the :54 mark in the news video above, the man who news reporter Jessica Schueler mentioned as the one who provided the tips on the unsealed Cecil County, Maryland indictment against Daniel Robert Janney, to Detective K. L. Adams with the Bluefield Police Depatment, was none other than me, Robert Haynes. After I first watched this news video, I called the newsroom at WVNS TV in West Virginia to let them know who I am. I also sent an e-mail to news reporter Jessica Schueler at WVNS TV to let her know that I was that man who she mentioned in her reporting. Detective K. L. Adams has also since sent me an e-mail to personally thank me for my effort to notify him of the unsealed indictment.

I still have some unanswered questions after I watched this WVNS TV report. What was the deal with Daniel Robert Janney joyriding on the ATV in the parking area of Mountaineer Lanes? Shouldn't he have been charged with a more serious offense than just public intoxication if he was caught drinking an alcoholic beverage while riding an ATV around a parking lot? Or is this technically not illegal in West Virginia, because parking lots there are considered to be public roadways? I don't know about this. I sent an e-mail to Detective K. L. Adams to ask him about this issue, but I have not received a reply back from him on this yet.

I would like to point out to everybody here that this West Virginia TV news station - WVNS Channel 59 - would have never even produced and broadcast their story about the arrest of Daniel Robert Janney in Bluefield, West Virginia, if it were not for my hard work and efforts to go public with my own story about Daniel Robert Janney. I was also the one who began the effort to bring Daniel Robert Janney to justice. I began this effort in February of this year, 2014. This was over six weeks before the police in Bluefield, West Virginia even knew about Daniel Robert Janney, and what he was doing in their jurisdiction.

You're welcome, good people of Bluefield, West Virginia. Maybe now, your under-age children are just a little more safer than they were just over a month ago from today, because Daniel Robert Janney, the previously-unknown-for-at-least-five-months, convicted sex offender of more than fourteen years, and felony fugitive from a theft charge in Maryland, and another unrelated indictment in Maryland, which was for even more recent sex crimes committed against a female minor, can no longer pose a threat to any of them.

I helped fight crime - Now I need help

It is almost a certainty now that Daniel Robert Janney will be serving yet another number of years in prison back in Maryland, sooner or later, just like he has in recent years of his past. This is simply because Cecil County in Maryland has already begun the process to extradite him from West Virginia to face trial on his four count indictment for sex crimes against a minor. I am the person who helped to make all of this happen. Although I have made many telephone calls about this, at this point, it does not even appear that I will be able to collect any type of a reward from Crime Stoppers in Maryland, or in West Virginia, for helping the police apprehend Daniel Robert Janney - a felony fugitive and unregistered sex offender who crossed state lines to evade justice.

All of this also means that Daniel Robert Janney will not be able to work and pay me back any time soon, since he is in jail now, and he will not be eligible for bail or bonding out because of his fugitive status. Daniel Robert Janney is set to be extradited from West Virginia to Maryland sometime soon, due to the serious nature of his charges in Maryland - sex crimes against a minor.
